Chenu Desire 9 (P) exhibited by Beck Keeley and Colin Pickering swept all before her at Adelaide Royal taking out Junior & Grand Champion Female and Supreme Exhibit. Sired by Ascot Eldorado the 12 month old poll heifer showed tremendous growth and thickness. Judge was Mr Gavin O’Brien. Chenu also exhibited the Senior Champion female Chenu Confidence 2 sired by Moongool Ernie. Both of the champion females were from Langi Ghiran bred females. Reserve Junior heifer was Venturon Natural Beauty (P) and Reserve Senior was Venturon Mariah (P). This was Andrew, Anne and Harris Thompson’s debut with their Venturon Charolais at Adelaide. Both their female champions were sired by Perth Interbred winner Venturon Keystone (P). Alizah, Eleni and Thomas Fogden took the junior champion bull award with Boulview Never Forgotten sired by Chenu Klassy. Reserve Junior bull was Duncan and Sue Newcomen with their Rosedale Keyon sired Tambo River Night Rider. Tambo River also exhibited the Reserve Senior champion bull Tambo River Nitrogen sired by KAYR Velocity 812Z. Senior and Grand champion bull was Venturon New Design (P) sired by Kooyong Kirwan. At 18.5 months this bull weighed in at 834kgs, scanned 127cm2 EMA and Fat scans of 7/7mm. To top off a great show Harris Thompson was awarded the Australian Junior Judging Championship.
