The Charolais Youth Stampede is an educational based program to offer opportunity and education to the next generation.
The Stampede is aimed at youth aged 5 to 24 years of age. Entrants under 8 years of age do not participate with a live animal but attend educational and development sessions. Each participant is required to handle an animal and care for that animal for the three day event. Participants are given instruction on all aspects of cattle husbandry, junior judging and showmanship as well as other skills useful in their future careers.
Teamwork and participation games are also conducted to ensure that all participants enjoy the event.
