CHAROLAIS bulls topped $10,000 at the red hot annual Lilydale invitational sale at Toogoolawah on July 18. The 30 bulls offered by the Lilydale, Bird Hill, Juandah and first time vendor Sandy Ridge studs averaged $6350 in a 100 per cent clearance, delivering the best result of the event’s 13 year history. Sale topper at $10,000 was Ross Sticklen and Janine Lau’s Lilydale Porter by Ayr Mintee’s Vincent, which sold to BJ Farms, Monsildale. The 22 month old entered the ring at 850kg boasting a catalogue topping 147 square centimetre eye muscle area and a 39cm scrotal circumference.
