The inaugural Glenlea Clermont Bull Sale was an tremendous success. Being the first time a NSW based stud has held a stand alone bull sale in Queensland. Bulls sold to $25,000 for Lot 1, Lot 3 for $18,000 for a 100% clearance and average of $8023. The first 5 Red Factor Polled bulls averaged $14,300. Being our first sale in the area most bulls went to new clients, across a wide area. 2 bulls to Charters Towers, 2 to Proserpine, 6 to Alpha, 2 to Springsure and 2 to Emerald with a large amount of local interest from local Clermont buyers.

Lot 1 Glenlea  Pheonix (P) R/F Sold to C.A.HALL Nymboida  NSW Via Grafton for $25,000. Chris is a long time buyer of Glenlea Genetics  over the last 10 years, with most of his herd of purebred cows Glenlea bloodlines. Phoenix is Homozygous polled and is sired by Glenlea Just Red (P) R/F who is the current leading sire in the Glenlea herd. He has a tremendous set of EBV’s and massive raw data at 26 months, 1154kg, 161cm2 EMA, 15mm Rump, 9mm Rib, 5.6 % IMF and 43cm scrotal. Lot 2 Glenlea Pitfire (P) R/F sold to repeat buyer of Glenlea Sires, Shane Benny, Benningang Grazing for $10,500. This was the sixth sire Shane has purchased from Glenlea in the last 18 months.

Lot 3 Glenlea Quartermaster (P) R/F sold to Charnelle Charolais for $18,000. This yearling sire only 19 months old and weighed 898kg with 144cm2 EMA, 11mm Rump and 7mm Rib with IMF% 4.8% and 39cm scrotal. A very popular bull with several buyers expressing interest before the sale, Lot 4 Glenlea Just Red Q408E (P) R/F another son of  Glenlea Just Red (P) R/F GLE J5E that caught a lot of attention and was eventually bought by Ferinand Farming, Kelsy Qld for $9000. Lot 5 Glenlea Honorable P80 (P) R/F went to Wildes Pastoral, Aberdeen, NSW for $9000.
