The 2018 Clipex National Silver Calf Championship was strongly contested. Judge Don Riley, Oakvale Limousins, Coonabarabran selected a medium weight from Tookawhile Charolais as his grand champion steer. Tookawhile owned by the Nicholls Family, Rukenvale Charolais are renowned for their success in carcass competitions. Tookawhile Patch took out the major award and team mate Tookawhile Silver took the reserve champion steer. It was pleasing to see several juniors exhibit their own steer in this event.
